107th GRAU Arsenal Destroyed: Explosions Triggered Earthquake
From early morning, videos appeared online showing an explosion and secondary detonation at some huge enemy ammunition depot near the settlement of Toropets in Tver Oblast. The 107th GRAU¹ Arsenal destroyed in today’s strike represents one of russia’s newest and most sophisticated missile storage facilities. Open sources report that two military units are stationed in the settlement itself: military unit 54169 and another military unit — formerly unit 55443, now 11777. It also known as the 107th GRAU Arsenal (Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the war ministry).
As clearly visible in the video presented below, no one managed to film the drone’s flight and its interception by duty assets, but they caught the flash and smoke — as usual. As a bonus, viewers got the spectacle of a blast wave that went from the first detonation. In general, the footage came out from the category: you can watch this forever, since the enemy’s ammunition depot burns. The Orcs’² press hasn’t yet reacted to this event, but Telegram channels write this:
Ammunition warehouses continue burning and detonating. Local authorities didn’t acknowledge the attack on the military unit, stating only that a fire broke out after debris from a shot-down UAV fell. They’re evacuating residents of the city and district, however residents of Tsikarevo village, which according to maps sits directly opposite the burning warehouses, remained cut off from evacuation — they can only escape across the lake. Some residents floated away in their boats, the rest await evacuation from local authorities to shore.
Third Time’s the Charm
According to enemy data, this was the third attempt by the Armed Forces to create a disco-style fireworks show at the warehouses. During one of the previous raids, a drone or drones did strike the base and explosions thundered right on the warehouse territory. But the bird didn’t hit where needed or its charge proved insufficient to cause detonation of ammunition. In general, the previous two times turned out to be ranging shots, and this time everything happened as it should.
Judging by how far ammunition flies and how actively it creates secondary fire sources, warehouses clearly contained a significant quantity of missiles. It’s possible the Orcs brought Iranian ballistic missiles there specifically. At least the first explosion indicates it formed from the explosion of something especially powerful, and simple shells would have had to try very hard to explode simultaneously and in such a manner. But missiles, which besides warheads also have solid fuel — could quite well create such an effect.
Newest Arsenal Goes Up in Smoke
This base is the newest arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of enemy armed forces. They put it into operation in 2018, and they built it according to the latest word in their military engineering. By the way, back in 2012 as part of a comprehensive program of the federation’s war ministry to modernize the missile, ammunition and explosives storage system, they began construction of 13 new arsenals and this was one of them.
Obviously, they paid special attention there to storing the latest developments in rocketry. Clearly, artillery shells and mines can be stored at other arsenals, which they usually practiced. But storage conditions for new missiles — that’s another matter. Colleagues write that Iskander missiles were stored there specifically, since both geographically and technically, this place was ideal for storing exactly such strike assets.
According to various data, about 30 thousand tons of ammunition sat at the base and if missiles gave the first explosion, comprising a third of the entire reserve, that’s explosion power of a nuclear warhead at 10+ kilotons. Which compares to the power of the “Little Boy” bomb dropped on Hiroshima. And by the way, on video the blast wave looked exactly as it happens during a nuclear munition explosion.
Seismic Stations Detected the Blast
Detonation in the arsenal area continues to this day, and amusing smoke coming from the event site already appears on satellite cameras focused on monitoring the earth’s surface. According to data from a sattelite, fire spread across the entire base territory and even beyond its borders:

Meanwhile, on the Toropets municipal district website, the administration head’s page features this photo:

The 107th GRAU Arsenal destroyed caused explosions so powerful that seismic stations worldwide registered several earthquakes measuring 2-2.5 magnitude. In general, the “pager assault” staged by Israeli intelligence slightly faded compared to what our specialists managed to do. At least a number of sources say that seismic stations around the world recorded several earthquakes of 2-2.5 magnitude. So the fireworks clearly succeeded, and we’ll soon know for sure how many missiles were destroyed there.
¹GRAU (ГРАУ) – Russian military abbreviation for the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate.
²Orcs – a common term for Russians who support or participate in the armed aggression against Ukraine. Dehumanizing? Yes. Accurate? Also yes.
