January 14 Dnipro Apartment Strike: 46 Dead, 6 Children Killed
The January 14 Dnipro apartment strike began early in the morning as part of a massive long-range missile attack on Ukraine. russia used Kh-101/Kh-555 air-launched cruise missiles, Kh-22 missiles, Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles, and Kh-59 guided aviation missiles. Additionally, for the first time, they used 48N6DM missiles from the S-400 air defense system to strike Kyiv from Briansk region. In total, 38 missiles were launched, of which 25 were intercepted.
There was significant destruction of residential buildings. The largest hit occurred in Dnipro. At 3:30 PM Kyiv time, a Kh-22 missile — which is inaccurate but very massive — struck a multi-story apartment building. After the attack, local media began reporting who exactly died from the russian attack.
Rescue Operations Continue
Rescue services at the missile strike site work without breaks. They intend to work until all victims are retrieved from the rubble. Both professional rescuers and volunteers work, helping to clear the debris. Dozens of tents with warm clothes, shoes, and food have been deployed. Across from the building at the bus stop, Dnipro residents set up a memorial site. People bring flowers and toys there.

Survivors Tell Their Stories
Below are direct quotes from several building residents who were lucky to survive.
Kateryna was talking on the phone with a friend at the moment of impact:
I flew out through the door, I was thrown out. The wave knocked me out, and what was flying covered me from above.
According to Kateryna, the last thing she remembers is rescuers pulling her out. The woman couldn’t get out of the mangled apartment on her own.
Oleksandr lived with his wife on the fourth floor of one of the entrances destroyed by the russian missile. At the moment of impact, he was at work. A neighbor informed him about the hit on the building. Oleksandr immediately came to the building and began helping to clear the passage for special equipment. He said that although his apartment ended up at the epicenter of the strike, he hoped until the last moment that they would find his wife alive.
I hoped she was alive. I called her: the first call went through, then there was no answer. On the second day they lifted the slab, she was lying on the sofa, the dog fell down. They took her from the sofa. I identified her on the spot.
Anastasiia, a 23-year-old girl whose photo on the ruins of a destroyed apartment went viral in media and social networks. On her Instagram, Nastya says she was in bed at the moment of impact. Doors covered her, which saved her from secondary debris.
There’s an abyss there, and I see another part of the entrance, someone else’s entrance. It survived, I’m almost whole, despite the wound on my head and bare scraped legs.
I became popular, although I didn’t want it, almost every public page publishes me. And I want to go to my parents. I’m in pain. Do I even exist?

The girl is currently in the hospital, as she received injuries as a result of the russian missile “arrival” at her home.
The January 14 Dnipro apartment strike claimed 46 lives, including 6 children. The youngest child was 11 months old.
The Terrorists Identified
On January 15, 2023, the molfar.global website published a list of military personnel directly involved in committing the crime. They named 44 out of 52 people from the 52nd Guards Heavy Bomber Aviation Regiment based in Shaykovka.
The January 14 Dnipro apartment strike remains one of the deadliest single attacks on civilians during the war. Rescue workers continue searching through rubble. Families continue grieving. And the world watches as russia targets residential buildings with massive missiles designed for aircraft carriers, not apartments.
