Kramatorsk February 1 strike: Iskander Destroys Building
The ruSSian army struck a four-story residential building in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, with a missile at around 10:00 PM Kyiv time on the evening of February 1. An Iskander-K missile flew into the residential sector. At least eight apartment buildings got damaged, one of them completely destroyed. This wasn’t the first shelling that day: during the day, russians fired a missile at the city that hit a cemetery. Neither then were there any dead or wounded. The Kramatorsk February 1 strike destroyed one entrance in the building completely, and two more partially. The blast wave damaged at least eight neighboring buildings: balconies destroyed, windows and doors blown out. Civilian residents who were home late in the evening ended up under the rubble. Eyewitnesses reported hearing horrifying screams of people at the scene.
The Casualties
The consequences — a destroyed residential building, three dead, over twenty wounded. Residents of the destroyed and damaged buildings got shelter for the night in a neighboring school. Volunteers who brought hot food for affected residents and rescuers started working at the site at night.
Leonid, a resident of a neighboring building, recalls:
When it thundered, we were watching TV with Sonka, with the cat. I immediately ran to the bedroom, I look, and there are no windows there, everything was torn out. And immediately here I look, operatives, firefighters have already arrived.
Rescue Operations Continue
Rescue and recovery work continued all night and all morning at the site of the evening shelling.

Around 4:00 AM, rescuers pulled the body of a dead man from under the rubble. Thus, the number of dead as a result of the russian terrorist attack reached four people:
Kostiantyn Borodavkin
Hanna Borodavkina
Iliana Poliakova
Nadiia Poliakova
Russia Strikes Again
But on February 2 at approximately 12:20 PM, another air raid alert sounded. At 1:00 PM on February 2, it became known: the russian army again delivered two missile strikes on Kramatorsk. Again on the city center. They hit residential buildings just the same. Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko reports:
Russians hit the city center again: this time — with two missiles. They damaged residential buildings, a children’s clinic and school, garages and cars.
Russian missiles hit right next to the place where debris clearance continues after the night attack. Missile fragments and the blast wave damaged another 18 apartment buildings. The total number of victims is still unknown at this time.
Kramatorsk February 1 strike demonstrates ruSSia’s deliberate targeting of civilians. Russians hit a cemetery during the day — no military value. They destroy apartment buildings at night when families are home. They strike again the next day, targeting the same area where rescue workers clear rubble and try to save lives. This isn’t collateral damage. This is terrorism.
