Chronicles of Ukraine’s Fight and Resistance

Medvedev threatens over Tomahawks but Moscow resigned itself

The Swamps¹ are buzzing today — their informationally active public is clearly reeling from yesterday’s attack on temporarily occupied Crimea, particularly the Feodosia oil terminal strike. This situation proves interesting because certain narrative accents have shifted, supposedly unrelated to these events yet deeply connected. Today, Dmitry Medvedev underwent another emergency detox course before handlers released him into the information space to play “bad cop.” His assignment: parry Trump’s statement that if Pootin insists on continuing the war, Ukraine will receive Tomahawks. Medvedev threatens over Tomahawks — this represents his assigned role in the Kremlin’s theater.

As everyone knows, Pootin personally doesn’t dare snap back at Trump. His advisors explained that he must flatter and please Trump while someone else plays the tough guy. If the situation becomes genuinely alarming, they can poison the “bad cop” with Novichok so he stops talking and starts hearing Kobzon’s songs instead. But Dimka doesn’t want to know about this and tries his best despite his unfortunate height limitations.

The Nuclear Threats Nobody Takes Seriously

So Micromedvedev threatened nuclear weapons for the hundredth time — this time conditional on Tomahawk deliveries to Ukraine. Generally, this sick man’s speeches contain nothing new. Remember, he said identical things in response to planned deliveries of HIMARS systems, tanks, ATACMS missiles, and F-16 aircraft. One gets the impression he delivers these same threats whenever his vodka bottle empties faster than achieving the required condition.

But the point isn’t what this alcohol-ravaged patient says — it’s why they release him with these speeches at all. By repeating identical threats for different occasions, he’s simply zeroed out any serious perception of his words. This mirrors exactly what China did half a century ago — making similar threats without adequate follow-through actions. Everyone grew so accustomed to Beijing’s empty chatter that the clearly sarcastic phrase “final Chinese warning” emerged. Incidentally, Trump walked this same path with his “two weeks” promises, but now we’re discussing Tomahawks.

The Technical Reality Behind Tomahawk Deployment

Until recently, such possibility seemed illusory purely for technical reasons. Originally, engineers designed the missile for naval platform deployment. It had to work perfectly for launches from surface ships and submarines, fitting both vertical launch systems and torpedo tubes. Hence the missile’s dimensions and other parameters.

Yet time passes, the world situation changes, and the standard missile’s 1,500-kilometer range imposes certain limitations on continental interior ground warfare applications. Obviously, aviation exists for destroying targets in such conditions, but it has both strengths and weaknesses that other means should ideally compensate. Consequently, the United States developed a limited number of mobile ground launchers. But just recently it emerged that Oshkosh Defence already has a fully operational X-MAV system capable of launching four Tomahawk missiles.

The point isn’t that this is a prototype requiring testing — the military already requested such systems, meaning real variants for using missiles from ground platforms now exist. In this case, it’s a specialized technological platform, but earlier rumors suggested launch systems mounted like shipping containers. Such installations could load onto any trailer, creating a fully mobile system. What exactly they mean by possible Tomahawk transfers to Ukraine remains unclear, but apparently variants exist, and the Orcs² know it.

Kremlin Rhetoric Shifts Dramatically

Orc rhetoric on this subject started changing seriously just these last few days. These changes’ dynamics closely resemble how rhetoric shifted regarding other weapons systems mentioned above. On one hand, this shift allows face-saving if or when missiles get delivered. On the other, it’s a crucial element of broader narrative variants from the henhouse’s top leadership. Here’s how it looks right now:

Russian media, prompted by the Presidential Administration, launched an entire wave of statements about consequences of transferring Tomahawk missiles to Kyiv. Everyone’s commenting — from war correspondents to Medvedev, pointing to consequences not just for Kyiv but for American-Russian relations. In reality, the Presidential Administration has accepted that Tomahawk deliveries are a matter of time.

Why Medvedev threatens over Tomahawks: The Puppet Clown Strategy

So as predicted, they’re using Micromedvedev as a semi-adequate puppet who can spout anything short of profanity, while the actual situation looks somewhat different. In this case, Pootin’s circle attempts extracting benefit from any course of events. Therefore, Dimka’s loud statements simply sharpen attention on the topic. Then, when everyone wakes up and gets interested in the henhouse noise, they formulate somewhat different ideas that Pootin’s inner circle voices:

We see Trump changing his rhetoric. One can say much about the reasons, but increased political support for Kyiv undeniably exists. Right now, it’s crucial to maximally delay delivery timing of these missiles to the Kyiv regime.

Preparing the Narrative for “American Strikes”

Now simply imagine that tomorrow powerful strikes hit the Kirishi refinery, partially or completely shutting it down. Along with it, fuel supplies stop for most of Siberia. The public immediately howls that air defense failed again, but then a specialist emerges and explains in black and white that only American Tomahawk missiles could demonstrate such range and accuracy, possessing air defense bypass technologies.

In that case, Orcs won’t feel so bitter — after all, the tsar himself says he’s fighting NATO and the USA. So these strikes came not from Ukrainian but directly from American weapons. Because if they admit distant strikes come from Ukrainian weapons, uncomfortable questions arise about “the world’s second army” and “unparalleled” weapons systems.

However events develop further, the Swamps are currently preparing their public for loading colorful new stories about how they’re shooting down everything with their crosses, while specific factories got hit because the weapons were American. Medvedev threatens over Tomahawks for domestic consumption, but Moscow’s strategists already accepted reality and are busy crafting excuses for the inevitable.

Notes:

¹Swamps – ironic name for Russia, emphasizing decay, stagnation, and filth.

²Orcs – a common term for Russians who support or participate in the armed aggression against Ukraine.
