November 28 News Digest: ICBMs Fail, Elabuga Burns

Today turned out to be very eventful, and we have to mark events with bullet points. On one hand, there are no official confirmations yet. On the other hand, there’s so much happening that while you write about one thing, another occurs. Therefore, here’s a brief November 28 news digest of events that happened.

After the USA tested the latest modification of the Minuteman ICBM, the Orcs¹ desperately needed to please the bald grandpa with a demonstration of their own ICBMs. Photos and videos of a suspicious spectacle came from the Yasny test site in Orenburg region — namely, a huge cloud of smoke in strange shades of orange and purple. According to sources, this was the new Sarmat missile. True, it didn’t fly very far. As it later became clear, it was supposed to reach the Kura test site in Kamchatka but changed its mind almost immediately after launch.

Until satellite images appear from the scene, it’s unknown what it destroyed. But from the video, you can understand that after reaching an altitude of 200-300 meters, it tried to turn around and return to its little house. Let’s remind you: they launched this missile last year from a silo at the Plesetsk test site. Then the missile flatly refused to fly. It decided to hit the target right in the silo — and it completely succeeded. The silo became totally unusable.

And how can we not recall Donnie’s words about Pootin having all the cards in his hands? Well, this was the ace of trumps, and pootin played it — as it now turns out — against himself.

Good Birds Visit Saratov and Saki

At night, good birds visited the Saratov Oil Refinery, as reported by USF Commander Robert Brovdi:

USF birds peck with fierce hatred. Saratov Oil Refinery (Rosneft, SARATOV, Saratov region, rf). The crawling tanker with an assortment of over 20 types of petroleum products sprung a leak in the swamps².

Messages came from temporarily occupied Crimea that explosions rang out in various places, completely unlike air defense work. And here’s the Armed Forces General Staff’s brief explanation of what it was:

A UAV storage site at the Saki airfield (Novofedorivka, temporarily occupied territory of Crimea AR) was hit. According to preliminary information, several air defense objects were hit at the airfield, including Pantsir-S1 and TOR-M2. After suppressing the enemy’s air defense systems, a hangar where enemy Orion and Forpost drones were stored was destroyed. Along with this, the enemy’s command and control center and a KamAZ military cargo truck also fell under the strike of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

Elabuga Drone Factory Burns

But probably the most important news for everyone will be that in Elabuga, for some unclear reason, a huge warehouse of batteries for drones caught fire. Actually, this was a warehouse of components for seven assembly workshops of this complex. As a result, the fire successfully spread over an area of 25,000 square meters. Well, everyone knows what happens to batteries and accumulators at elevated temperatures.

Again, the network only publishes photos and videos of the fire itself. Personally, I haven’t come across anything yet that would indicate a drone or missile attack. Although it would be too self-confident to completely exclude such a possibility. But if no traces of drones are found, then in this case, we can assume that the warehouse burned down for approximately the same reason as the ICBM in Orenburg region. That is, everything happened because of the very “straight” hands of Orcs assembling analogue Shaheds. In any case, we’re talking about battery reserves for the largest Orc drone production facility. Perhaps a bit later, the parameters of everything consumed by the flames will be named.

Shadow Fleet on Fire

Meanwhile, in the Black Sea, unknown sanctions caught up with two shadow fleet tankers at once. One near the Bosphorus, and another in the depths of the sea. Recordings of radio exchanges between the crew of one of the vessels and Turkey’s coast guard have already appeared. There’s a version that sea drones attacked the tanker. What kind of drones they were isn’t specified. But in any case, both tankers were on the sanctions list, and fire engulfed them precisely for this reason.

How true it is about drones remains unclear for now. But if our military did this work, then the Orcs should remember how they hammered ships with wheat in Odesa, for example, and therefore they got hit with the same coin.

On the other hand, we cannot exclude that at least one vessel could quite possibly have blown up on a mine scattered by Orcs in large quantities in the Black Sea waters. Dozens were neutralized near our shores, and it’s possible that some mines broke loose from their moorings and are drifting at sea, which can cause such incidents. True, the probability that in different places almost simultaneously two empty shadow fleet tankers of the Swamps blew up on mines is extremely small and approaches zero.

Update.

Сonfirmed hit by naval drones Sea Baby:

Strangling Novorossiysk Export

But if we assume our military are working, we can talk about a task to completely shut down oil exports from Novorossiysk. Yes, two powerful strikes have already hit the oil terminal in Novorossiysk port. And now here are incidents with tankers — without oil onboard, so as not to cause an ecological catastrophe. At least one tanker demonstrated very vigorous burning. The crew was removed from it, and It’s possible the tanker has already gone to the bottom.

In other words, it’s already clear that the free movement of tankers has stopped. Now, according to all the rules, they need to drive out the hidden ships of the Black Sea Fleet to convoy tankers. But something tells us that this is exactly what the good drones are waiting for. Getting ships at base with sea drones is practically impossible, but if they come out for convoy duty — that’s another matter. But for now, all this is speculation. We’ll learn the details later.

That’s how this November 28 news digest turned out — quite eventful, as you can see.

¹Orcs – a common term for Russians who support or participate in the armed aggression against Ukraine. Dehumanizing? Yes. Accurate? Also yes.

²Swamps – an ironic name for Russia, emphasizing decay, stagnation, and filth. The Commander of the USF, Robert Browdie, and most soldiers use this word.
