Our Blog Moves to a New Domain war-in-ukraine.com

In 2015, when Russia’s war against Ukraine was still in its early stage, we launched a blog. Its mission was to highlight one overlooked aspect of the struggle — the role of women in defending Ukraine. The platform gave voice to stories of courage, sacrifice, and resilience. Mainstream coverage often ignored these voices, but they mattered. Women served on the frontlines and took part in logistics. They provided medical help and defended Ukraine’s independence. Those efforts deserved far greater attention. Today, we continue that mission on our new domain war-in-ukraine.com.

After February 24, 2022, everything changed. Russia launched its full-scale invasion, bringing massive destruction and affecting every part of life in Ukraine. At that moment, we realized that focusing only on one aspect of the war, even one as vital as contribution of women to Ukraine’s protection, was no longer enough. The war touches every family, every city, culture, economy, and the future of our people. The scale of the crimes and the scale of resistance both demanded broader documentation.

For this reason, we expanded the project and moved it to a new domain war-in-ukraine.com. The mission remains the same — to document the truth — but the scope is much wider. We will continue to tell women’s stories, but also the stories of soldiers, volunteers, displaced people, and entire communities resisting aggression. By moving to this new domain, we open a new stage for our platform: a chronicle of the war in its full reality, aimed at preserving memory, exposing crimes, and strengthening the fight for justice.
