Russia-Ukraine War 2025: Russian Casualties and Historic Firsts
The Russia-Ukraine war 2025 brought unprecedented intensity to the battlefield. Today it makes sense to turn to the year’s results that our military has compiled. Indeed, the intensity of combat operations this year reached a new level. The bald Führer clearly understands something: in this war of attrition, something happened that neither he nor any of the Orcs¹ could imagine even in their worst nightmare. They saw something akin to “negative economic growth,” and in this case — “negative light” at the end of the tunnel. Moreover, the end of the tunnel itself looks more terrifying than they’d like. Simply put, they saw the depletion of those very resources that formed the basis of this war’s concept.
Across a number of positions, losses turned out to be much greater than what can be filled from reserves or through industry’s work. In turn, our military not only inflicts damage that leads to growing losses but began cutting out the base of the military industry. They’re leaving production facilities without necessary components or materials. And this is while this same industry was spun up to simply maximum revolutions. This is bad news for Pootin. Therefore, he invested all resources into the 2025 campaign, no longer saving anything or leaving anything “just in case.”
And we remember how Orc propaganda cheerfully explained that they weren’t fighting at full capacity and therefore didn’t have significant results. So, in 2025 these conversations stopped. Literally everything got thrown into battle, but this maximum pressure didn’t give the needed results. Instead, it gave exponentially greater losses.
The Numbers: What Ukraine Destroyed in 2025
Here’s how the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine counts Orcs Casualties:

Personnel — 418,170 killed and wounded
Tanks — 1,816
Armored vehicles — 3,806
Artillery systems — 14,146
MLRS — 331
Air defense systems — 234
Aircraft — 65
Helicopters — 17
Submarines — 1
Automotive equipment — 39,743
Special equipment — 363
As you can see, this year alone the enemy’s losses easily correlate with an entire army of a medium-sized country. The war transformed from blitzkrieg into an epic of resource attrition. When the Orcs felt this exhaustion, they moved to the next format of war — slaughter. They throw everything they have into the furnace, including their own tomorrow. But as we know, Pootin doesn’t give a damn about losses, since the end of the war will be a catastrophe for him personally. And for his own hide, he’s ready to sacrifice even a million of his subjects, even tens of millions.
Putting It in Perspective: European Armies Comparison
But while he doesn’t care about losses, any outside observer certainly sees the scale of this rout. World media directly write that the Swamps² suffers losses incompatible with the status of a modern army. Just for comparison, let’s look at the numbers for some positions in the German army:
Personnel — 184 thousand people;
Leopard-2 tanks — up to 250 units;
Armored combat vehicles — up to 3 thousand units;
Aircraft — up to 200 units in various degrees of combat readiness.
And let’s look at the figures for the French armed forces:
Personnel — 203 thousand people plus 35 thousand reservists;
Leclerc tanks — 222 units;
Armored vehicles — approximately 6 thousand units;
Aircraft — about 600 units.
These data are provided for a clearer understanding of what the Armed Forces of Ukraine crushed this year alone. Simply put, across a number of positions, the Armed Forces ground up such numbers of enemy personnel and equipment as are in service with two of Europe’s largest armies. This scale of destruction captures the real intensity of the Russia-Ukraine war 2025, far beyond what headlines usually convey.
Missiles, Drones, and Historic Firsts
As for data on downed missiles and drones, here we propose a comparison with Israel. Together with allies and partners, Israel repelled two large-scale attacks. But here there’s simply no need to present statistics, since they’re not comparable. Instead, we’ll simply present a map showing how many missiles flew at Ukraine in 2025 to have a visual picture of this plan.

Plus, our military struck a submarine for the first time not in dry dock, as happened earlier in Sevastopol, but at its own base, at the pier. Moreover, the strike weapon — an underwater drone — was successfully applied against a combat ship for the first time.
In other words, the Armed Forces of Ukraine again did something that no one has done yet. This continues the glorious tradition of strikes whose description begins with the word “first,” starting with the sinking of a missile cruiser with nuclear weapons on board. We also remember that AWACS aircraft were destroyed for the first time, which no one had ever done. This year we managed to destroy an aircraft with a combat laser installation on board. There are only a handful of such devices in the world, and the practice of tracking them down and burning them doesn’t exist anywhere at all.
Taiwan’s Lesson from Ukraine
By the way, the current escalation executed by China, which seeks to seize Taiwan, may encounter resistance that Xi cannot imagine. Now the media write that Donnie’s impotence regarding Pootin is pushing China toward aggression against Taiwan. This is indeed true, but there’s also a flip side to this picture.
The Taiwanese army has much stronger starting positions than the Armed Forces of Ukraine had in 2022. It’s well-equipped and prepared, and plus, Taiwan is an island. We remember that even for Hitler this became a problem, and therefore an invasion of the British Isles never happened. Well, and everyone knows that Taiwan has high-tech industry, which we didn’t have.
Clearly, China can afford even greater losses than the Orcs. But anyone who thinks Taiwan has no chance is mistaken. If Taiwan can stand firm and dig in like Ukraine did, Emperor Xi will be very sad. Especially if he gets entangled in a prolonged fight, numerous neighbors may take advantage of this opportunity. They simply need to adopt Ukraine’s experience now in order to master techniques that lead to gigantic aggressor losses.
David vs. Goliath
In the end, despite problems and losses, the Armed Forces of Ukraine show phenomenal results. It’s like a lightweight boxer stepped into the ring and stands on equal footing against a super heavyweight. That’s exactly what it looks like, and the character of enemy losses testifies to this. The Russia-Ukraine war 2025 demonstrated that resource depletion hits harder than the bald Führer ever imagined, and Ukraine’s innovations in warfare continue to rewrite military doctrine worldwide.
¹Orcs – a common term for Russians who support or participate in the armed aggression against Ukraine. Dehumanizing? Yes. Accurate? Also yes.
²Swamps – an ironic name for Russia, emphasizing decay, stagnation, and filth. The Commander of the USF, Robert Browdie, and most soldiers use this word.
