Russian Budget 2026: Rats in a Cage

On September 29, 2025, it became known that the newly presented federal budget directly allocates over 40% of expenditures to war. Like much else, orcs stopped hiding what analysts previously calculated through indirect signs. The Russian Budget 2026 makes this even clearer. Military expenditures no longer hide in other budget items. However, these aren’t all expenditures of precisely this nature. It’s enough to note that the budget provides financing for subjects of the swamps, which form their own budgets with military-character expenditures there too—for example, contractor payments. So all war expenditures already bite off half the budget.
In other words, without suffering external aggression, the swamps burn half their budget just to satisfy their crazed führer’s ambitions. We practically never quote the bald midget, but this time we’ll have to, since this is exactly how he explains to his herd what he wants to portray with this war. Turns out:
Today, defending this choice, our fighters and commanders rise to attack, the entire country wages a righteous battle and works, all of Russia. Together we defend our love for the motherland and the unity of historical destiny.
There’s nothing to comment here, neither for me nor for those reading these lines, unless you have medical education in clinical psychiatry and extensive experience working with precisely such pathologies. Yet it’s important to note another moment that escaped from Pootin during this speech. Though not directly, he said there are absolutely no conditions for life in occupied territories and everything there will need restoration.
Everything Destroyed
Before the war started, everything existed in these places: schools, hospitals, water, and everything else needed for normal life. Now all this, according to Khuilo, needs restoration. He sidestepped cause-and-effect relationships. However, for a herd immersed in militaristic frenzy, such things aren’t needed in principle. Their inside-out laws even consider disagreement with this a criminal offense. There you can easily get five years if you simply go to any settlement center and loudly shout the word “peace.”
Asset Confiscation Begins
Reserves are already substantially depleted. They’ve switched to emergency budget replenishment methods — namely, confiscation of large assets with subsequent sale to the right people at correct prices. Property redistribution proceeds at full speed on the Swamps.
According to open sources, the Russian budget 2026 accounts for income from selling confiscated shares and other assets. Thus, the Ministry of Finance plans to cover at least part of the budget hole growing at frightening rates. With constant growth of military expenditures, balancing the budget through eaten reserves becomes impossible. The situation with oil and gas business income becomes completely unpredictable.
This is understandable. US and EU sanctions came first. Then Armed Forces of Ukraine added sanctions on oil refineries, which proved simply catastrophically effective. This may become yet another “addition” to the budget hole.
Squeezing the Population
Variants for financing war through “defatting” the population and big business have launched. With population, everything is clear — they’ll simply raise taxes and fees, immediately increasing budget revenues. But business requires effort, so the process must start in advance.
At the same time, Pootin’s administration explains that wartime demands all these measures. Several months ago, one Pootin administration figure explained on fingers why and how this works. According to him, military commissariats can confiscate citizens’ or enterprises’ personal transport if military necessity demands. The same can happen with factories or infrastructure objects.
No Nationalization — Just Theft
Yet there’s no talk of nationalization or privatization. Actually, property redistribution proceeds in favor of the circle close to the tsar. Representatives of Putin’s family may appear in new owners’ structure, or we’re dealing with nominal owners while Khuilo or his daughters become actual asset owners. Overall, Putin now does exactly what he promised to stop for stability’s sake. He already destroyed its foundation.
Certainly, it would be naive to believe these insatiable games of the tsar will lead to rebellion of Russian fat cats. Nothing like that. Everything there rotted completely. However, there’s no doubt that if — more precisely, when — the next “justice raid” happens, like Prigozhin staged, its support will be significantly broader and events will proceed more decisively. Here we’ll deal not with abstractions but with quite concrete and considerable assets Putin grabbed for himself, contrary to oaths. Such a raid might arise precisely from understanding that critical mass of dissatisfied fat cats has accumulated.
The Russian budget 2026 reveals a country eating itself alive. Half goes to war, reserves vanish, assets get stolen, and the population gets squeezed. This isn’t sustainable economics—it’s a death spiral dressed in military glory. The rats are trapped in a cage of their führer’s making, and the walls keep closing in.
