Syzran Refinery Strike: Burns Again, Temryuk Hit
Tonight the enemy received two hefty slaps that further aggravate its situation in terms of processing and exporting oil, petroleum products, and hydrocarbons in general. News about the Syzran refinery strike appeared immediately, since the attack occurred during the night and the facility is already well known for repeated hits.
As far as we can understand, the strikes hit in finishing-off mode. Here’s a brief chronology of strikes starting from August of this year, when the campaign of methodical cutting out of enemy oil and gas assets began:
| Date | Attack Description | Confirmation Source |
|---|---|---|
| August 15, 2025 | On the night of August 15, units of the Armed Forces Special Operations Forces struck the Syzran Oil Refinery. Explosions and fire were recorded. | General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine |
| August 24, 2025 | The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published a video of the strike on the Syzran Oil Refinery, confirming hits and detonations. | General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine |
| December 5, 2025 | On the night of December 5, drones attacked the Syzran Oil Refinery, causing a fire. The glow was visible from afar. | Ukrainian and Russian media |
Is Repair Even Worth It?
As you can see, the work proceeds systematically. If you look at the frequency of strikes, questions should already arise there about whether it’s worth starting repairs after each strike. Another strike will inevitably fly again, and everything they tried to restore will go to dust. Eyewitnesses report that after the strikes, an extremely strong fire broke out there. So far there are no details about where exactly it hit, but lately something new has started to be traced precisely in the part of strikes on refineries.

We’re used to seeing strikes fly to primary oil refining units first. It’s understandable — that’s where raw materials get cleaned of impurities and most importantly, water. Without this cleaning, oil cannot go to further processing stages. But more and more often, information appears that strikes have started flying to reservoirs with oil and petroleum products as well. This may indicate that our military has operational data about how repairs are progressing at the target facility. If by the time appointed for a repeated strike, the Orcs¹ haven’t stirred much, then hitting the same unit makes no sense. In such a case, perhaps they choose another target, but at the same factory.
Targeting the Storage
There’s a suspicion that with full or partial shutdown of oil processing, its reception continues, but it goes “into storage.” In other words, technological tanks get filled, from which, in case of equipment launch, oil will immediately be fed for processing. And if oil storage is overflowing, then it looks like the best target No. 2. Taking into account that strikes flew to Syzran plant more than once or twice already, and local public has something to compare the night raid with, from their comments in the sense that an extremely strong fire arose, we cannot exclude that it hit precisely where there’s something to burn brightly and long.
If it hit the reservoirs, this indicates that they’ve already decided not to hurry with repair of technological equipment there. Either the damage is too severe, or they made a decision that it’s pointless to invest in repairs so that drones can smash freshly installed expensive equipment. At least, the intensity and regularity of strikes speak precisely about this.
From Exporter to Importer
This very night, local residents counted between five and seven explosions in the area hit during the Syzran refinery strike. From what we managed to see and read at this moment, nowhere do we see evidence that air defense worked there. Nothing suggests the explosions came from anything other than arrivals. And as we know, our drones work quite accurately. If the enemy hasn’t prepared for air defense by installing sufficient EW and anti-aircraft means, good Birds hit just like in a textbook.
The Orcs have every prospect of turning from exporters of petroleum products, and first of all gasoline, into importers. Let’s remind just in case that in the Swamps², cars refuel at “internal prices.” But perhaps very soon reserves won’t remain, and then Orcs will find out what world fuel prices are. But this night it flew not only to the refinery but also to another interesting place, namely to Temryuk port.
Temryuk Port Burns
This isn’t such a bright and large port as Novorossiysk or Tuapse, but it has long been used as an insurance asset for the two main ports, where the first specializes in oil export and the second in petroleum products export. In other words, the port has infrastructure for loading tankers with oil and petroleum products. Supposedly there’s equipment for transshipment of liquefied hydrocarbons there. And good Birds flew there, as a result of which a fire broke out. The glow was perfectly visible even a dozen kilometers away.

Where exactly it hit is still hard to say precisely, because different sources write about different assets. But either way, it flew soulfully, because otherwise there wouldn’t have been such powerful illumination.
Grozny City Gets a Visit
This same night, another strike hit Chechnya, though not massive but quite demonstrative. This time it flew into one of the high-rise buildings of the Grozny City complex. Strikes on assets in temporarily occupied Ichkeria happen regularly. Therefore, there’s some general plan here. Otherwise, they wouldn’t spend expensive strike means on these attacks, for which there are quite a lot of targets without Grozny. Probably, some processes are going on there that these strikes can beneficially influence.
Well, all this taken together indicates that some extremely alarming processes are really going on in the Swamps. Strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine only intensify them. Strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine only intensify them. Operations such as the Syzran refinery strike and the Temryuk port hit show how methodically Ukraine is degrading russia’s oil infrastructure.
Therefore, the bald fuhrer, though he’s cheering up and trying to show his unbearable strength, against this background already looks increasingly stupid. And Donnie looks even more stupid, trampling his country not even into dirt but into russian shit.
¹Orcs – a common term for Russians who support or participate in the armed aggression against Ukraine. Dehumanizing? Yes. Accurate? Also yes.
²Swamps – an ironic name for Russia, emphasizing decay, stagnation, and filth. The Commander of the USF, Robert Browdie, and most soldiers use this word.
