Ukraine hits 67th arsenal: Some Ammunition Stored in Open Air

Last night our military successfully reached the GRAU¹ arsenal near the settlement of Karachev, Bryansk Oblast. Ukraine hits 67th arsenal sits approximately 70 kilometers from Ukraine’s border. There’s no point commenting on the Orcs’² first statements. Everything there is standard: duty air defense systems shot down 100-500 aerial targets. But as usual, debris fell on explosive objects and then it started…

A number of sources, citing local residents, say that the arsenal area now shows the already familiar visual and acoustic effects. These are characteristic of emergency situations at the same 107th arsenal. Simply put, everything there burns and explodes. People run and fuss instead of enjoying the rare spectacle. Hardly any of them saw something like this. It’s practically guaranteed that they won’t get to see anything like this again in their lives. In general, the Armed Forces of Ukraine gave them an unforgettable spectacle in honor of the 72nd anniversary of their Führer. The beloved tsar’s birthday was two days ago, so what? Such an event can be celebrated for another week. Therefore, the festive salute is appropriate as never before.

The 67th Arsenal: Close to Border, Full of Ammunition

It should be noted that this arsenal was one of the closest to the border with Ukraine. It stood there quietly, not drawing attention to itself. Nevertheless, according to rumors, it was precisely through it that ammunition transshipment from Belarus happened earlier and happens now. After all, it’s no secret that Lukashenko transferred a significant part of heavy weapons and ammunition for them to the enemy’s occupation army.

It’s known that a significant part of the ammunition was stored in the open air. Most likely, we’re talking about the fact that there was a small number of missiles, if there were any at all. The main mass of ammunition was shells and air bombs. Therefore, a simultaneous large detonation there is unlikely to please the eye of an outside observer. But the show promises to be long, and the scattering of ammunition — colorful. Of course, such shows are better observed at night. Against the backdrop of the black autumn sky, details are visible much more clearly. But as far as one can understand, local residents already appreciated this effect. The explosions started at night but continued after sunrise.

The Arsenal Hit List: What’s Next?

Thus, as of today, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the 107th and 23rd arsenals in Tver Oblast and the 67th in Bryansk. A bit farther from the already well-known Toropets, near the village of Kotorovo, Novgorod Oblast, sits the 13th GRAU arsenal. We must hope it will repeat the fate of previous ones. Not far from moscow, near the city of Kirzhach, Vladimir Oblast, sits the 51st arsenal. According to rumors, many “tasty goodies” are stored there, as at the Toropets arsenal. But it was tightly covered by air defense systems that are integrated into the general anti-aircraft defense belt of the federation’s capital.

In Vladimir Oblast, a bit farther from the border with Ukraine, near the settlement of Yeseno, sits the largest arsenal in the European part of the federation — the 73rd GRAU arsenal. It can create the most unforgettable fire show.

And since our drones successfully reached large ammunition warehouses in Krasnodar Krai, it’s worth flying a bit more. You can reach the 68th arsenal, which is located in North Ossetia, not far from the city of Mozdok. Although it’s small, something tells us that cruise missiles like Kh-101 are stored there. Enemy heavy Tu-22M2 bombers very often fly there. After this, they move to missile launch positions over the Black Sea water area. So although it’s far away, and its dimensions are not as significant as most arsenals, it still needs attention.

The Strategy: Starve the Enemy

The intentions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are clear. Destroy most of the enemy’s ammunition storage facilities. Thereby put him on a “hunger ration” both in terms of artillery and aviation. Ukraine hits 67th arsenal demonstrates this strategy works — hit the supply chain, and the enemy’s capabilities diminish dramatically.

¹GRAU (ГРАУ) – Russian military abbreviation for the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate.

²Orcs – a common term for Russians who support or participate in the armed aggression against Ukraine. Dehumanizing? Yes. Accurate? Also yes.
