On December 5, the website of Right Sector, sectorpravdy.com, reported that volunteer Yana Zinkevich serious condition became known after a car accident. She was hospitalized in extremely critical state. However, there is little data regarding the circumstances of the tragedy. Law enforcement officers of Dnipropetrovsk region refuse to comment on the accident.

According to Yana Zinkevich’s comrades-in-arms, the accident happened around 4 a.m. near Dnipropetrovsk. The car skidded off the slippery road and rolled over several times. Moreover, the girl was thrown out of the vehicle. She received severe spinal injuries, among other things.

What Happened on the Road

December 5, around 4 a.m. The Hospitallers’ car skidded on slippery asphalt, flew off the road, and rolled over several times. Yana Zinkevich was thrown out of the car. She is now in Yana Zinkevich serious condition in intensive care. Meanwhile, the Hospitallers’ combat commander, friend “Strelok”*, who was also in the car, is in the neurosurgical department, conscious.

According to hospital data, doctors are fighting for her life. Currently, the girl is in intensive care and remains in a state of medically induced coma.

She Regained Consciousness

The Right Sector reported that in the evening, the volunteer regained consciousness.

According to doctors, consciousness has returned to Yana. She can talk, her memory is fine. However, her condition remains stable but serious. The night will be difficult. We ask everyone who can to pray.

On Saturday, the Hospitallers battalion of the DUK Right Sector announced a fundraiser for the girl’s treatment and for the Hospitallers’ combat commander, who was with her in the car and is also in the hospital.

Ministry of Defense Ready to Help

Ukraine’s Minister of Defense Stepan Poltorak announced on his Facebook page that the Ministry of Defense is ready to provide the best doctors to save the girl.

Regarding the incident, I instructed military medics to be on standby and provide her with all necessary assistance. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is ready to send its best doctors, provide everything necessary to save Yana, accept her in any of its healthcare facilities for treatment or further rehabilitation.
