Crimea Bridge Attack: Birthday Gift for Putin?

Finally — the Crimea Bridge Attack we’d been waiting for arrived. This is definitely not HIMARS firing its usual missiles. Something much more serious hit the bridge. The consequences of this strike are much brighter than what we saw on the Antonivskyi Bridge.
On one hand, we still need to restore the Antonivskyi Bridge. That’s why shelling it should be effective but careful. But the Crimea Bridge is a different matter. With it, you don’t have to hold back. You can demolish it wholeheartedly. And that’s exactly what happened.
What Hit the Bridge
As far as can be understood, the main blow hit the automobile overpass of the bridge. But the blast wave was so powerful that it also caught the railway overpass. The contents of the train that was crossing the bridge at that time are now burning merrily. Externally, it’s noticeable that even from the blast wave, the railway overpass received serious mechanical damage. And we need to consider another important point. Usually, various communications are laid along bridges. First of all, communication cables, electrical cables, and often — various pipelines. There is every reason to believe that in this case there was something similar. Therefore, Crimea may have problems with everything that went through the bridges, except transport itself.
What This Means for the Enemy
Now it’s worth considering what all this means and what the consequences will be for the enemy. The first thing worth noting is the distance. The Crimea Bridge is located at the maximum distance from any point on the territory of Ukraine where the Armed Forces of Ukraine can be located. And now we can safely say that the entire occupied territory is already under fire control. Moreover, the means of destruction have such powerful warheads that they are sufficient to significantly damage such infrastructure facilities as this bridge.
This is very important because now everyone understands that Sevastopol and other places are closer than the bridge. Such a gift can and should arrive there too, where the arsenals and oil storage facilities of the Pidars* fleet are located. Today everyone realized that from now on, the Armed Forces of Ukraine can do this at any moment, as soon as the need arises.
The “Impregnable” Air Defense Failed
The second point, which is certainly important and will also have long-term consequences. The Crimea Bridge was covered by the most powerful and most layered air defense system of all those places covered by the armed forces of the orcs. Probably everyone has read that the bridge is covered more strongly than Moscow or facilities where nuclear weapons are stored. Such statements were made publicly, primarily for internal consumption.
It’s hard to say whether they themselves believed what they were telling. But for the public, they staged shows several times that were simply impossible not to notice. We’re talking about vessels with “corner reflectors” that were supposed to reflect all the corners that could fly to the bridge. In addition, several times they released huge clouds of white smoke on the bridge. These were supposed to symbolize safe smoking on the bridge. The public was supposed to look at all this and decide that everything is fine with the bridge. After all, the “reflectors” are floating and everything is smoking cheerfully.
By the way, one of the orc figures wrote that S-400 complexes are deployed on both sides of the bridge. Plus — Tors, Buks, Pantsirs and a company of riflemen with Mosin rifles. That is, both quantitatively and in terms of layering, they did everything to the maximum there. And if this maximum couldn’t do anything, then in that case, everything else that their air defense covers is in the same vulnerability as the bridge. It’s understandable that now they will talk about how it wasn’t a missile that arrived. Instead, someone smoked unsuccessfully — either a truck driver who was carrying something explosive, or the driver of a railway tank car that is already burning on the railway overpass of the bridge. But this doesn’t change the essence.
The Crimea Bridge Attack Ended Their Fairy Tales
And this time it won’t be possible to talk about how the air defense works as it should. Or that in general, the leader and teacher — or more precisely, the führer — thought everything through and there’s nothing to fear. Now everyone understands that persuasions and conversations have absolutely no relation to reality. In addition, they certainly read direct warnings from our military command that the bridge is a priority target and will be destroyed. And now they have clarity about whom to listen to seriously in order to calculate their own actions and consider prospects.
By the way, literally on the eve, messages appeared that British specialists figured out those trophies with which our military now abundantly supply partners. They found some effective and simple means to neutralize Mordor’s air defense, up to S-400 complexes. It’s hard to say whether these findings were used in this case. But one thing is obvious — the beginning of the bridge’s destruction has been laid. Although one part of the automobile bridge has not yet received its portion, it’s easy to guess that this is already a matter of time. By the way, so is the railway overpass, which was not the target this time.
Two Strikes Confirmed
Several videos appeared confirming that this was part of the broader Crimea Bridge Attack, and it’s now definitely possible to conclude that there were indeed two arrivals. The first one collapsed two adjacent sections of the bridge. The second — at least one. Actually, in one video you can clearly see these collapsed sections. And in another, from an outdoor surveillance camera, you can see the moment of the first explosion. A second later, the camera shook again because the arrival was behind it. The explosion itself is not visible. But it’s clearly noticeable how it shook from the blast wave of the second arrival.
This alone is completely sufficient to finally close the version that a truck with unknown contents exploded. Obviously, these were missiles that are capable of sweeping away such capital structures. Moreover, it hit the sections of the bridge under which navigation is not carried out. Although everyone understands that it could have hit there too. That would have put an end to this structure itself. After all, restoring precisely the long, arched span is very expensive and takes a long time. In addition, it would have stopped all sea traffic in the Kerch Strait. We have the right to do such things. But being a civilized country, the Armed Forces of Ukraine separated flies from cutlets.
The Birthday Present
And let’s not forget that the bridge got sad in the mode of a gift to the führer of the fourth reich on his anniversary. This Crimea Bridge attack hit precisely for him. Unlike reports about the attack on the strategic bomber base in Shaykovka, Kaluga region, or the mobilization base in Belarus — which were not confirmed by photos or videos — here the “gift” is evident. This was an addressed message that speaks to those in Mordor who are still capable of thinking.
*Pidars (pronounced “pidars”) – Ukrainian military slang for an enemy combatant. In radio communications, the word “Pidar” sounds shorter and clearer than “Enemy” especially under EW.
