New Year 2024: We Survived. Wishes and Greetings

This year hit hard. You could compare it to a boxing match between fighters from different weight classes. Despite the size difference, the smaller boxer keeps answering the heavyweight with short but extremely powerful punches. And those punches hit so hard that the brute still can’t adapt to them. Sure, he lands punches too, but at the start, after judging his own size and his opponent, he expected to end the fight in the first round — maybe even in the first minute. Now he’s thinking about how not to hit the canvas himself.

But the most remarkable thing here isn’t even the weight difference. Our boxer fights with his hands taped together and can punch only one way. Nevertheless, the enemy already sports an impressive hematoma under his eye, a split eyebrow, and a suspicious brown stain on the back of his shorts.

This year, for the first time, we started hitting the enemy deep in the rear both on occupied Ukrainian territory and on the internationally recognized territory of the Rabid Federation. Yeah, proper strikes haven’t landed there yet, but the Orcs* now have zero doubt that this won’t just maybe happen — it definitely will. Before New Year 2024, the Armed Forces harvested this crop:

Total destroyed: 253,270 occupiers, 7 ships, and 46 enemy aircraft shot down. Additionally stats:

  • 3,029 tanks;
  • 4,995 infantry fighting vehicles;
  • 6,448 artillery systems;
  • 520 multiple rocket launchers;
  • 410 air defense systems;

Basically, in just this year our Warriors ground down a force exceeding the size of what an average European army has, excluding ships and aircraft. And we didn’t pull those two positions up to European level simply because we have limited strike capabilities, and also because the enemy hides this equipment far away so it won’t get hit deep in the rear.

The Price We’ve Paid

These results came at a heavy price, and our losses are enormous too. Each of us has dead relatives, friends, and acquaintances, and we will never forgive the Orcs for everything they brought to our land and everything they took from us. They understand this. They know that from now on, Ukraine will always stand with anyone willing to rip the asshole out of this hybrid of a two-headed rooster and a filthy bear. In us, they gained an eternal enemy who will do everything to make sure this creature finally drops dead.

Part of our colleagues are directly at the front, and it’s to them we send our first wishes. Take care of yourselves! Everyone understands that war is a cruel and relentless phenomenon, but you shouldn’t give it extra chances to take your life or health. Remember what the classic said? “You don’t have to die for Ukraine, you have to kill for it!“. There’s nothing more to add. Once more — take care of yourselves, let the enemy drops dead. Later everyone can tell how many of this scum they personally wasted or whatever they consider necessary to tell colleagues.

Happy New Year 2024
Happy New Year 2024

To everyone who stayed in Ukraine — good luck to all of you! As Winston Churchill said, this is the most important wish, since health or wealth without luck isn’t always a good acquisition, because there were many rich and healthy people on the Titanic, but many lacked luck. By the way, luck is primarily needed by our military, so we wish them the most of it, since they certainly know its price.

Standing Strong in the Storm

To all those in Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and other frontline settlements that face shelling almost daily, we want to wish resilience. In reality, we all found ourselves living in the moment when Ukraine reached the finish line of its long, centuries-old struggle. And we ended up right in the middle of these events. Later, writers, filmmakers, artists, and other creators will write about this, make films, sculpt monuments, and try to capture the spirit the enemy failed to break. They will reflect it through words, brushes, chisels, or whatever tools they hold in their hands. And we’re all living through this ourselves.

Even in hard times, you shouldn’t lose heart and should rejoice in what you can find even in such a situation. Just look at how our warriors keep finding ways to laugh even under fire on the front line. They understand that each next moment might be their last, and therefore they live life to the fullest here and now. And New Year 2024, they’ll mark it in their own way, and let them know we remember them, and those who can — pray for them right this minute and this second.

So don’t melt down, don’t succumb to despair, just live and do what you can for our Victory. The smallest efforts add up to a common surge and it works. Just remember how everything looked on Maidan. We endured. We’ll endure now too. We’ll win. Probably not tomorrow, but we’ll definitely win. May the coming New Year 2024 bring us what was lacking this year — and may it bring our victory closer! May our spirit become support for those whose spirit has fallen and may our shoulder become support for those who need it.

And one more thing. We love Ukraine, we love freedom, we love all those who fight for both Ukraine and freedom. And as we know, love conquers evil.

*Orcs – a common term for Russians who support or participate in the armed aggression against Ukraine. Dehumanizing? Yes. Accurate? Also yes.
